Sally Gardner ACA, Director
As the head of Prism Group’s accountancy practice, Sally is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
After twelve years with Price Waterhouse in London, Milan and Gabon, Sally has served a wide variety of international, national, and local clients across a broad range of industries; she has extensive accounting experience spanning personal & business tax, production of financial statements, pre-audit preparation, management accounts, budgets and forecasts. She has also developed specialist expertise in the charity sector, having served variously as Director, Trustee and Honorary Treasurer. Having joined Wyndham Green Associates in 1997, a mixed accountancy and management development consultancy practice, she was appointed head of the accounting practice of Prism Group on its inception in 2004.
Sally is a keen athlete, enjoying running, squash and the gym. Married with three children, she lives in Scaynes Hill, just outside Haywards Heath.
Phil Green FCCA, Director
Phil is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). On moving into commerce in 1985, he took up roles which were initially finance-based but which evolved to encompass general management and business development in the travel, banking and finance industries. He formed Wyndham Green Associates in 1997, a mixed accountancy and management development consultancy practice, merging that business in to the newly formed Prism Group in 2004.
A keen footballer and leader of a local Scout troop, Phil is married with two children and lives in Horsted Keynes, on the edge of the Ashdown Forest.
Jo Byrne, Assistant Accountant
Having trained as a Legal Assistant specialising in conveyancing, Jo worked in this field for five years before setting up and running her own retail and wholesale business for the next seven.
In 1999 she joined Wyndham Green Associates, a mixed accountancy and management development consultancy practice, providing its clients with book-keeping, VAT and payroll services.
Married with three children, Jo is into cooking, DIY and looking after animals - chickens, guinea pigs and a dog; she lives in Rotherfield, East Sussex.
Laura Brooks ACMA
Having qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant in 1993, Laura worked for eight years for the Saur Group (a group of companies specialising in water treatment and supply and facilities management). During this time she held various financial roles within the group including two years as Head of Finance with specific responsibility for all financial and management accounting for four companies. Her particular area of expertise is management accounting and strategic planning.
Since leaving full time employment Laura has worked on many client sites providing accounting services and joined the Prism Group as one of our part-time Accountants in September 2005.
Laura lives locally in Haywards Heath and is married with one child. In her spare time she volunteers as treasurer of a local pre-school and enjoys cooking and keeping fit at the gym.
Rachel Shaughnessy FCCA
Rachel started her career with British Airways Holidays in Crawley in 1988, which she joined after finishing her A-levels. During her time with BA Holidays she had various accounting jobs, including five years as a Financial Analyst. She also completed her studies and qualified in 1996. In 2002 Rachel left BA Holidays and has since been working freelance. She joined Prism Group in September 2004.
Rachel lives in Haywards Heath and is married with three children. At the moment she doesn't have a great deal of time for leisure pursuits as she is the mother of a 12 week old baby. However, she does manage to find time to continue with some curtain making.
Rajaa Shallabi
Rajaa joined Prism Group as an Accounts Assistant in November 2005. She currently works off-site for two of our clients - CLIFFGroup and Infinium Technologies.
Rajaa started her career in her native Libya, after studying Financial, Economy and Administration Studies at the High Institute for Financial and Administration Business in Tripoli, working in the accounts departments within the oil industry. She moved to the UK in 2000, and has since held accountancy positions with CHS Tour Services and the University of Brighton whilst continuing to study and take her ACCA exams.
Rajaa lives in Telscombe Cliffs with her family and in her spare time likes to garden, surf the internet and spend as much time as possible with her young son and daughter.
Deirdre Hope-Gates
Deirdre is a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians and has worked in finance in the private sector for 20 years. She joined Prism Group as a subcontractor in April 2004.
Deirdre lives in Haywards Heath and enjoys tennis, golf and swimming.
Gail Boustead, Office Manager
Gail is a highly experienced administrator, with over 20 years' experience of office management in the professional services sector in London and the South East; in addition to major banking corporations and accountancy firms, she has worked with manufacturing and marketing companies in senior administrative positions. Having joined Wyndham Green Associates in 2003, Gail took on the role of Office Manager for the newly formed Prism Group from its inception in 2004.
A keen skier, Gail also enjoys yoga, cycling and cookery; she lives in Horsham, West Sussex.
