Paying tax

The Business Payment Support Service (BPSS) thankfully, is still available for all HMRC taxes for businesses experiencing temporary financial difficulty.   We have noticed that HMRC are still willing to talk and agree payment plans, but ask many more questions, so be prepared to put forward a good business case.

For arrears of £1million or more, HMRC will require businesses seeking Time To Pay (TTP) arrangements, to provide an Independent Business Review (IBR) in support of their request. It is expected that this new requirement will be implemented from April 2010.
